Broke 0 #53 March 12, 2006 Nope I am talking about the atari 800. You didn't have to type in retarted strings to start games. Just plug the ame in and off it went. If you had a game programed in basic all you had to do was plug in the basic cartrige, and then put the flopy in. I don't ever remember running it at 8 MHz (fyi: it might have been KHz... but it was a long time ago so I don't remember...)Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... smiles 0 #61 March 12, 2006 QuoteI don't think I have enough display area. What do you think? pull and flare, lisa I is a college student! You have more display area than me! I do like the keyboard/mouse on one level but couldn't believe how hard it was to find a desk with pull out area wide enough to accommodate keyboard and mouse. Like whoever designed the system figured one could work with mouse on different level? Anyhoo, depends how much you use your keyboard- and how much booze you have to drink.... I prefer to have it the right level....... and display at higher level---(used to stack old phone books under it) SMileseustress. : a positive form of stress having a beneficial effect on health, motivation, performance, and emotional well-being. billvon 3,090 #63 March 13, 2006 My first computer was a PET. Followed by an Atari 400 (not as fancy as the 800) an Apple II and a 6809-based PC I designed. The 6809 got me through college. After that I started on PC clones.
