JENNR8R 0 #1 March 20, 2006 My widowed mother had a stroke this week. I spent the weekend going through her papers. Sometimes the post office 'forgets' to cancel a stamp on an envelope. You can take the stamp off and glue it onto another envelope to reuse... free postage! Apparently, my mother has been faithfully saving these uncancelled stamps for years. There was an envelope filled with them on her dining room table. Some of them with denominations as low as 27 cents. Why didn't she reuse them? I found that to be poignant. Have your parents done silly things too? What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

ACMESkydiver 0 #3 March 20, 2006 QuoteHave your parents done silly things too? You mean like watering down our milk, ketchup, and Tang(R)? I guess those things weren't silly though, they were survival. And my mama is a survivor. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. soulshine 0 #4 March 20, 2006 My dad left my old bedroom intact until 5 years after I had moved out. I would come home for a visit and give him shit for it. It really meant alot to me that he cared too much to get rid of my stuff though.
