grue 1 #1 March 21, 2006 I excitedly turned on my TV to watch the return of Prison Break, and to my horror, there was no sound. Flip up a channel... sound. Flip down a channel.. sound. Run across the hall, try my friend's TV... same deal. Call up CableOne, sit on hold for fifteen minutes. While I'm talking to the (hot sounding) chick, the sound came back on.. "Oh, it works now" "Great, is there anything else I can do for you?" "You should start the episode over and just push everything back 15 minutes" "We can't do that, sorry!" "That makes me angry. YOu won't like me when I'm angry" "What?" "I'm hungry and I'm cranky" "Oh, sorry to hear that" cavete terrae.

mx757 4 #3 March 21, 2006 dumb hearing people... need sound. Why couldn't you have just put the closed captions n and "read" it?
grue 1 #4 March 21, 2006 Because that'd require my actual TV remote. My Tivo remote can't control that aspect of the TV. I'd never had to use it before, so didn't happen to have my TV remote handy.cavete terrae.

grue 1 #6 March 21, 2006 TiVo remote (which is always handy) controls the TV volume in addition to channels. I've never needed closed captioning before. I haven't even seen the actual TV remote since I got the tivo a couple years agocavete terrae.
