kingbunky 3 #1 March 21, 2006 we lost another ferret last night. simon went a few months ago, some sort of stroke or something that paralyzed him. last night, went to let the rest of them out to play, but no lilly. dug around and found her curled up, dead. looks like she died in her sleep. ferrets are weird like that i'm told, they get to 3 - 5 years old and can drop dead for no apparent reason. once they're passed that point, they can make it to 10 or 12. she was 5 and we had her since she was a baby. i know, some of you are saying 'it's just a ferret', but i thought she was cool. pic of simon and lilly attached. no, they weren't posed, we found them curled up in the drawer as they appear."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." kenz 0 #3 March 21, 2006 losing any animal sucks, they really do become a part of your family, and without having any pets no one can judge... sorry about your ferret!"life does throw curveballs sometimes but it doesn't mean we shouldn't still swing for the homerun" ~ me
Rebecca 0 #4 March 21, 2006 My condolences. Pets are such a joy and blessing - I always hope, when I hear of one passing, that they had as much happiness in life as they brought to their humans. Looks like your li'l friends had it GOOD! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Kris 0 #8 March 22, 2006 Sorry to hear about your ferrets. Dagny and I have 4 and they're definitely family. They're consummate escape artists, thieves, and only 90% accurate with their litter box, but damn if they're not funny and adorable.*vibes and sympathies*Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

RhondaLea 4 #10 March 22, 2006 Quotei know, some of you are saying 'it's just a ferret', but i thought she was cool. I'm very sorry for your loss. There's no such thing as "just a ferret." They're like little people, and they're more fun than ordinary human beings should be allowed to have. My Farley died several years ago, and I still miss him. rlIf you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from.
