Car theft has dropped double-digits in this particular area (I think Dallas) as word spread about some cars possibly being "bait" cars. There is a fine line between parking a bait car in a high-crime area and having an undercover officer coerce someone into committing a crime, though, and it's a line that needs to be carefully watched. I guess they were targeting the truly stupid and desperate dumbass criminals. Another tactic they use is to park empty police cars around downtown just to keep the criminals guessing. Yey!) and I tend to drive those like Grandma. I don't know what it is about a sports car but I zoom around like a Nascar racer when I get behind the wheel.
