lawrocket 3 #9 March 22, 2006 QuoteFelt big and scary to me My boobies were shaking for awhile too So it turned what would have otherwise felt regionwide like a 3.4 into a 3.7? Dang, apparently v2.0 does have some incredible powers! My wife is hotter than your wife.
hookitt 1 #10 March 22, 2006 QuoteWhen was it. Didn't feel a thing out here in the sticks (Byron). 1:41:42 PM (PST) on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 It wasn't that big so I'm not surprised you didn't feel it. (that can be taken a number of ways but in this case, it's referring to an earthquake)My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... spoolfool2 0 #12 March 22, 2006 I don't consider a 3.7 big, but I will say that I felt it all the way down here in Huntington Beach. I'm guessing thats about 600 miles or so. It's the first one I've felt in a year or two.
Girlfalldown 0 #13 March 22, 2006 You felt that all the way down there? I'm in Sausalito and I didn't feel a thing. Maybe you guys had a little earthquake too. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)

Johnsisland 0 #15 March 22, 2006 I agree, USGS is a good earthquake page. So, is 3.7 big to you? If not, how big is big? Hard to quantify, since rating it big is also a product of how close to the epicenter you are, and the depth of the earthquake. Anybody ever think about what it will be like when a Brian Atwater size (8+) earthquake hits Seattle? NW, were you in Seattle during the Duvall, Nisqually or any other recent earthquakes?Arch? Jumpervint 0 #16 March 22, 2006 I felt the Nisqually quake here in Spokane, on the other side of the state. It was an odd feeling. Used to live in Seattle and would feel small quakes occasionally. Johnsisland 0 #17 March 22, 2006 Amazing that you felt the Nisqually earthquake in Spokane...that's a long ways away. I am amazed that I have felt west side earthquakes in Yakima. JeffArch? I can arch just fine with my back to the ground.
Jumpervint 0 #18 March 22, 2006 It was an odd thing. I was sitting in a rolling desk chair, and it rocked a bit. My cubicle mate and I looked at each other, and then we noticed hanging plants swaying back and forth slightly. Hard to believe, but true. Can you imagine what it'll be like in Seattle when the 'big one' hits? Vint. . . . . "Make it hard again." Johnsisland 0 #19 March 23, 2006 Same scenario with the west side earthquake I felt in Yakima, sitting in a rolling chair, thought somebody had bumped the wall with a forklift (I know that wouldn't account for the movement I felt, but it was the first reaction I had.) And I can't even begin to imagine a nearby eight, well as nearby as a Cascadia fault quake can be. I was in east Bellevue, when the Duvall quake occured. Couldn't belive what that felt like, and it was what, about 5.3 or 5.5? 5.5 about 80k tons dynamite, 8.5 about 5 billion tons and a 9 is 32 billions tons of dynamite. Wow, wow, wow. The damage from Katrina will look like childs play, compared to a biggie. JeffArch? I can arch just fine with my back to the ground.
