Zeemax 0 #1 March 27, 2006 I have an iPod video... can i use it as a storage device? I need to move some files from the mac i'm using now (not the mac i have the iPod linked to) to a PC. No internet access on the PC, no CDR drive on this mac and it's the only way i can think to do it. I'm sure i read somewhere a while ago i could use the iPod as a removeable drive... any ideas anyone??Phoenix Fly - High performance wingsuits for skydiving and BASE Performance Designs - Simply brilliant canopies
dropoutdave 0 #2 March 27, 2006 I'm 90% sure you can. Just plug and play to use it for storage if I remember rightly. ------------------------------------------------------ May Contain Nut traces......
Gawain 0 #3 March 27, 2006 Yes you can. Go to:http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/tutorial/ip_gettingstarted_t13.html I didn't read the whole thing...but you can do it. Edit to add: When you plug it in, look for a removeable drive. You should be able to drag and drop.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! I just saw a writeup on a Windows program that enables PCs to see Mac formattted drives...if you do this a lot maybe it's something for you to consider...
