Doesn't do it for me (anymore). Neither here nor in the threads referenced by JP.

could it be that HH has disabled it for premium members? B|

Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

You've got a star so you won't see them. I logged out and it is marked. One more benifit to a Premiere member, no key words!

Well, since ya picked me to reply to, Chris, I'll reply to you anyway... ;)

I agree with those who posted elsewhere that it's blurring the line between original content that I post or others post and advertising. I pay to support this site via my Premier membership. I'm totally fine with the presence of ads on the site, I get that HH has to pay the bills. But if there's a link in the body of my post, I want it to be because I put it there because I want someone else to read further, not because I've hit upon an advertising keyword.

The advertising keyword links now look different from normal links, which I think is a big improvement - at least now it's obvious when a word has been coopted for an advertisement.

Sorry, you don't get rid of me that easily. I know this ain't no damn democracy, but it's nice when the benevolent dictator hears the concerns of his subjects and responds.

But more than a few of us have.

There were a lot of reasons that people got upset about it, and there's a thread in Suggestions and Feedback detailing all the reasons.

We were asked to keep the discussion there, because it makes it easier for Sangiro to address the various complaints about it, which he is trying to do.

I still don't like it--I'd prefer to see a Google Ads type of format rather than having my posts hijacked for advertising--but some effort has gone into making it as inoffensive as possible--all in response to the feedback received.

So some people don't like the advertising and some people don't like people complaining about the advertising. And then there are people like me who don't like the advertising and don't appreciate being criticized for complaining about having my words hijacked.

If your answer is "don't post here" then my answer to you would be "don't read the complaint thread." :)
I guess it just depends on ones point of view.
