lawrocket 3 #6 March 28, 2006 When you are a student, you are given assignments and told to complete them. You do this your way. When you are an employee, you are given assignments and told how to complete them. You do it someone else's way. Either you find a job that is interesting, or you find a job where you'll have the independent authority to do things your way. My wife is hotter than your wife. In most cases if you get accepted into a Phd program you will be given enough scholarships/TAships/RAships that you will not need to live with the parents, and can minimize or even avoid debt. Talk to a faculty member at your university that you have a good working relationship with and tell them you are interested and they can really give you excellent advice on this.
