Then it dawned on me... that was how I smelled before I quit. Public places that once allowed smoking, will smell of cigarettes for years. all that cigarette tar gets all over everything. The longest I ever quit was four years; except for that, I've quit for periods ranging from 3 months to 2.5 years. It's always been the same--non-smokers smell funny to me when I'm smoking.
