5432154321 0 #1 April 2, 2006 I love the Black and Gold, but have had trouble locating the Blue. Does anyone know who carries it locally here in Phoenix? Is it worth the price or is there something better I can get my hands on locally? --- xenaswampjumper SPANKS THIS ASS!!! I WISH karenmeal spanked this ass too..... narcimund 0 #3 April 2, 2006 We have Johnnie Blue and like it enough that we replaced the first bottle. But it's horribly expensive. I'm not sure we'll replace the second bottle. But then we have over 45 bottles of exquisite single malts and many of them have far more interesting character and cost 1/3 as much. Johnnie Blue is delicious. I just don't know that it's 3 times as delicious as Dalmore 21 or Balvenie Doublewood or Connemara Irish Single. We also have Johnnie Red, Black, Green, Gold, Single, and Swing. If you must have it, go to the border and find a Duty Free. That's about the only way to get much variety in price. FIREFLYR 0 #8 April 2, 2006 Blue label is pretentious BS. Rebecca 0 #11 April 2, 2006 Doesn't Phoenix have any upscale shops, like a cigar shop or a fine wine place? Hell, here in Houston, even the corner liquor store stocks JW Blue. Duty Free is the way to go - bought an ex a bottle a while back in the airport and saved about $45. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? 5432154321 0 #16 April 3, 2006 Well I finally found a bottle, everyone seemed to be out, so the one I found, I had to bend over and take a stiff one for. Ouch that hurt. Prob why he still had a bottle laying around, no one in their right mind would pay that much except some asshole who doesn’t give a shit... butt let me tell ya, this shit is the BOMB with Presidents Choice Cola!!!! JFK.... Yea it's different alright, but it's a replication of the rarest blend from the olden days. Shit… it’s what the important folk drank back then, the best malts available, artistically blended for a smooth, rich, peaty taste, mmmmmm. Ya sure there’s better, but it’s pretty damn good stuff. Now I did see a nice bottle of 30 YO Balvenie, but for his asking price of $500 I thought I'd pass. They also had some 15 YO Laphroaig, but I don't know if it's the same quality as the stuff skinnyshrek had from Scotland as it’s imported??? It was $89 and I might go back and pick it up for a taste. --- xenaswampjumper SPANKS THIS ASS!!! I WISH karenmeal spanked this ass too.....

GARYC24 3 #19 April 4, 2006 Yep. It good! I bought a little bottle of Gold last Frid. just to try it. A very small bottle about the size of a single plastic milk bottle for $39.99. Then remembered the thread about no drinking in April. So I finished the whole little bottle! I can tell the difference! Next month will try the $199.99 Blue Label.
