skydivejersey 0 #1 July 16, 2003 Why has no one come up with any skydiving games. Get the perfect formation, swoop the course - there has to be something out there for those windy days?
Casie 0 #2 July 16, 2003 This is when you get the big round reserve out, hold on to the risers & sit yourself in a kid plastic pool. Let the wind take it from there~Porn Kitty WARNING: Goldschlager causes extreme emotional outbursts!
vt1977 0 #3 July 16, 2003 I have a particularly crap skydiving game for the PS1 - I think it's called Skydiving Extreme (or something like that). I can't quite figure out what I'm meant to do with it - I think you're supposed to be doing RW and backlooping inbetween points or something. IIRC you can change the DZ that you are jumping at, but all in all it's a pretty poor excuse for a PS1 game. Surely someone can come up with a better game than that???!! MattM 0 #4 July 16, 2003 A complete skydiving game would start with "Select your disicpline" RW, FreeFly, Accuracy, etc.... Then it would say "Select your wing" Velocity, VX, Parafoil, etc. BTW, I think you have to start out on like a Navigator or something and as you earn more points, etc. you can change canopies and downsize. :) There are 2 places to earn points.. freefall and under canopy. The more tricks u do in freefall the more points you get, the father the swoop the more points you get. Sounds good.... no someone go make it. bvsdjumper 0 #9 July 16, 2003 I bought that game even knowing it had bad reviews just because it was skydiving related. I played it only briefly. If my memory serves me correctly, you have to press the buttons on the controller based on the given pattern and there's a time limit. Once you complete the pattern the four team changes to the next point and you get another pattern. Mess it up or run out time and you have to start from the beginning. It got old *real* quick and I put it away. Another crappy skydiving game is for the PC. It's called Skydive! and is by Gonzo Games. It has more to do with skydiving but is still pretty bad. --ArtSky-div'ing (ski'div'ing) n. A modern sport that involves parties, bragging, sexual excesses, the imbibing of large quantities of beer, and, on rare occasions, parachuting from aircraft. FliegendeWolf 0 #10 July 16, 2003 There was a game for the Super Nintendo called "Pilotwings" that was released when the system was first released. It was a lot of fun! There were four different events: Flying a jetpack, a biplane, skydiving, oh and one other that I can't remember... hang gliding maybe? Anyway, the skydiving part involved freefalling through targets and then an accuracy portion under canopy. It's not unlike that skydiving game that's online.A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All
jlmiracle 7 #11 July 16, 2003 I have that Skydiving Extreme also, and yes, it sucks. Its more like that game Simon says. You to move in the order they give you the "points" using the left side of the controller. Ya gotta like the 3d skydiving points. cptfunky 0 #14 July 17, 2003 I think there are some sports that can't be simulated in a Videogame. Skydiving is one of them, but also Pool or Snooker etc. The most stupid and sensless videogame i ever saw was a 'fishing simulator'. All you could do in this game was to throw a bait in the water or to wait.
vt1977 0 #15 July 17, 2003 Of course there was always that game called "Parachute" on the Nintendo Game and Watch (remember them? Early-mid 80s) where parachutes were dropping into a lake/the sea and you had to catch them in your boat. If you missed one, it fell in the water and got eaten by a shark! If I remember rightly, sometimes they eneded up hanging on one of the palm trees as well! Vicki
Malev 0 #16 July 17, 2003 QuoteI have a game for my Nokia cell phone called "SKYDIVER" but I can't quite figure how to play it - nor has anyone else. I have that as well, I think the aim is to steer through the rings and then land on the "jump zone". Its a bit strange, as it has obviously been programmed by someone with a modicum of knoweldge about skydiving, but nonetheless is obviously not a skydiver. Oh, and you can't open your chute above 700feet. Alternatively you can skysurf in an open windtunnel and hit targets for points. ciel bleu, Saskia
 Prev 1 2 Next Page 1 of 2 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
