Really, I think there *is* a market for that kind of thing and it surprises me how often I see women wearing stuff like that.

I do not doubt that you can sell 'em.

That being said, though, I don't care for it because it looks tacky. Same goes for those running shorts that have the lettering in an arc across the ass.

I have such a pair that says "GATORS" in said arc across the ass. I love them! And I'd be willing to wager you'd like them, too They put girls in soffee shorts for nearly every sport. Now that I'm 25 I've desperately tried to find comfy lounge/running shorts that don't remind me of high school (like my soffee shorts do) but to no avail. Nothing beats the soffee---and if it says something on the ass---ALL the better

Oh and P.S.....they're great for football season and recently basketball season. I get to chant "Go Gators. Go Gators. Go." and pump my ass up and down in front of my hunny. He thinks it's hilarious. It never gets old and I never tire of doing it

Hmmmmm. Maybe I rushed to judgement. Tell ya' what. Pump your ass up and down in front of my face and I'll reconsider.

Actually, I don't know why it is, but the lettering just annoys me. Maybe it's because I kind of equate it with a woman getting some brand name tattooed on her ass. It just looks...I don't know, I just don't like the way it looks.

On one hand, I agree--b/c most often it's the cheerleader ra-ra annoying girl with a high-head ponytail wrapped in a pink ribbon sporting them.

I have fought with myself for liking & wearing them. But, at the risk of being redundant, every sport I played in high school required girls to wear Soffee shorts and some with our HS lettering across the ass.

I have a pair in every color---but the only ones w/ lettering are my GATORS. I got them specifically for football season. OK----warning---going to be totally girlie for a moment: My hunny LOVES football season, and it used to bore the hell out of me. To make it enjoyable, I bought jerseys of the teams I liked (for example, I used to like Greenbay b/c they were the "cheeseheads" and I, too, love cheese...now I'm a Falcons fan b/c I LOVE Michael Vik) and would dress up in my little shorts with a jersey and knee-high socks and do the ref signals (which I'm an expert at now) during the game for my hunny. That way, I get attention, too! Another thing I do to keep it interesting is making bets (somehow, without having a clue, I always win! I love it!).

So you see, the GATORS across the ass is pure, unadulterated entertainment
