What "talk" do bowlers give someone that is a danger in the bowling alley?

Recommended Posts

Watch out Thanatos!! I feel as if your warning was a direct attack at me. Yes, I have retired from bowling, but tell me, where in the hell does that give you the right to tell someone my bowling advice doesn't hold water? I'm PM'ing a moderator.

Your beauty and my beauty have put us in questionable bowling situations - and yes we should take up something less risky. What we learned from our mistakes can be shared truth, thus knowledge passed.

How many people do you know of that have survived pin impact? Unbelievable survival story that could potentially save a newbie bowlers life. Someone out there may not let go of the ball - or your wisdom could count as a save.

So before you start bashing me for giving sound advice - try thinking about our community first. Last thing we want is a bunch of dead ignorant bowlers.

Thank you.

So I hear that they have bars in big alleys?!!! I come from a small, single lane alley. I can't even imagine such a thing.

-They allow more than two bowlers down the lane at the same time? :|

Tell me more, great one!

Listen Girl.. It is nothing personal..
But the game has changed since you were last in it.
You don’t bowl the 7pin Polymer Racks the same way that you bowl Today’s 9 Pin Polyethylene Racks.

I just call it like I see it.

I am personally taking a large group on a Coaching outing tonight to work with them on Basic Skills such as Proper Beer Pitcher Placement, Shoe selection, Safe Ball Release, and the very important SAFE strike dance (The Bowl is not over until you are safely back in your seat).

You could probably benefit from one of my ball control courses yourself.

Whatever. The game itself may have changed but the physical dangers are the same. Can we not still die if we fail to release anything after the foul line? Things happen very fast after that point. As you, of all people, are aware there is little to no time to initiate EPs before pin impact. What lessons do you have to offer versus a No Sh*t There I was Story. You should be dead and are quickly becoming a bad example with your arrogance. You are one lucky guy. Hope you invest in a Bypress and a BSL (ball static line).

Is the ball still round? Are people still bouncing because of fingerloading, just because they want to bowl like Bubba the Alley Gawd? Is bowling without shoes still considered high risk? Hmmmm the sport of bowling hasn’t changed that much, has it?

Okay….I think I’ve made my point. The safety issues are always going to be the same. I suggest you study your little beer rules and go play Nerf golf or something.

Hope you don’t “bag out” on another coaching course, you need it. People like you are a hazard in the alleys.

Good luck.

people. people... i cant stress how important it is to get a pin check before you stat on a lane.

I've seen some real disasters all because a pin wasn't in the right place. You really dont want to end up throwing your ball at a 7/10 split...
