leapdog 0 #16 April 12, 2006 I don't know what the thread is really supposed to be about, I guess some people get the privelege to know what is really going on. since there is language supporting the poster. quote] Only because you allow it to be... life is what people make it, either suck it up or drown in it... those are the only options... if ya suck it up, hold you head high and think positive then everything starts to fall into place. Agreed. Everything is usually perception and looking at a glass half empty. (Cliche I know, but true)Things also happen for a reason, Most of the time we are not the victim. We all have a role to play in what happens to us in our lives. The trick is figuring out what that is and then stop playing that role. Remember to note that I have used a key word here, most. I didn't say all. Some bad shit happened to me late 2005 I did something to affect change, and I still speak to the person who did the wrong. I forgave but didn't forget. I learned and won't repeat my role. Some stuff happened to me so far in 2006, but I remain upright and doing what I can to learn from it and not let it happen again. lisamariewillbe 1 #18 April 12, 2006 Great post... particually this quote... Quote I learned and won't repeat my role It works well in it shows that we aid others to hurt/or betray us. Regardless if it is friends or family, or a stranger on a street. Actions cause reactions. If someones actions cause us to react in a negative way we feed them. If we continue to hold our head high, and learn from the our past and present... then our futures will reap the rewards of a our continued positive outlook.Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this

Yeah gotta disagree with ya there girly, NO-ONE can cuase you to react in any given way. You CHOOSE to react to a set of circumstances. Those circumstances do not cause you to react in any paricular way.You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? Yeah gotta disagree with ya there girly, NO-ONE can cuase you to react in any given way. You CHOOSE to react to a set of circumstances. Those circumstances do not cause you to react in any paricular way. Yes, but we as people don't choose each and every time. We, as people, chose long before the reaction ever took place by accepting that a reaction to another behavior is appropriate. This is usally done through teaching from our environment or culture. It is condoned by a society as a whole. As a result, since this the "norm", we tend to place blame and play the role of being victimized. Or that a reaction is justified. lisamariewillbe 1 #21 April 12, 2006 I agree, I do believe we choose how we react, however that being said... new experiences often times cause us to react poorly. If we are hurt and we CHOOSE to react in a certain way, and realize that we did not handle it in a way that appeases us, then we usually have another chance to react. The one constent with people usually is that if given time they will disappoint or hurt us. Ive learned alot about forgiveness since my brother was murdered. And I learned that people cause their own strife in life, regardless of others bringing us down that path. We choose to follow or take the path. On the other hand I disagree with you. For example, someone dies, often times people will cry. Do we choose to cry? No , we choose to feel grief but we do not control the emotions and if we do, we are only controlling them for a limited time. The brain and its power can overcome many things in life, except emotions. We must deal with emotions to control our brain and handle things. I dont think what I am saying is making sense anymore so I will end this. Just know it is making sense in my head Reactions and feelings are often times easiest to control when it is not the beer time of feeling it.Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this
