ntrprnr 0 #1 April 12, 2006 To those (like me) who are spending this evening's Seder with family, gritting their teeth and trying manically to find the Afi Komen so we can go the heck home, and to those spending less stressful seder nights, I wish all of you a good holiday, and offer this little bit of Passover humor: A Jewish guy gets the honor of being called "Sir" by the Queen. He goes for the tap on the shoulder with her sword, and he's supposed to recite a line in Latin. After several other men do it without any problem, it's his turn. He gets flustered in the heat of the moment, though, and winds up saying "Ma-nish-ta'na, Haleila Hazeh, Mi-kol Ha le los." The Queen, aghast, turns to her first in command, and says, "Why is this knight different than all other knights??" Giggle. Happy Passover, and leave the Otter door open for Elijah!_______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues." SpeedRacer 1 #2 April 12, 2006 I've been to Seders. My mother's Catholic church holds one every passover. I've always enjoyed it. And I have a Jewish friend who told me that Seders are cool because you get to watch your grandma get drunk! SkyDaemon 0 #5 April 13, 2006 Shalom! Happy Passover! QuoteHappy Passover, and leave the Otter door open for Elijah! Hmm last I checked Elijah had a bad habit of burning people he didn't get along with in a pillar of flame. I think i'll stay out of his way. :-) -=Raistlinfind / -name jumpers -print; cat jumpers $USER > manifest; cd /dev/airplane; more altitude; make jump; cd /pub; more beer;

SpeedRacer 1 #8 April 13, 2006 So, I have a question: Since traditionally in Jewish holidays, the day begins at sundown of the day before, do Jews have the Seder on Wednesday evening or on Thursday?? here's a Jewish joke for ya: They've got a Jewish version of those dolls where you pull the string & it says a recorded message. Traditionally the dolls say "Mama!" or "I love you" or something. The Jewish version says, "AGAIN with the string?!!"
