Update: My half leg, broken body and recovery

Hey all,

I thought I'd give a quick hello to give an update on where I'm at and what's in store for me in the near future.

On March 16th, the doctors closed my leg up. During the times leading up to that point, there was no infection or any impediment to the progress for the leg to begin healing.

They also put a couple screws in my right ankle and put it in a hard "short" cast.

I'm pressing for some of the stitches to be removed from my leg and ankle (also allowing a smaller cast). The doctors are anxious to do the same, they're just waiting the requisite amount of time before they can start doing it.

After that, I can begin to start fitting for a prosthetic on my left leg. I'm really anxious to start that, oh yeah!

Meanwhile, I'm just doing a lot of physical therapy and that's about it for now.
