Andy_Copland 0 #1 April 16, 2006 Just saw a post about cards and thought i'd ask this question. What is the most you've ever won in one hand? a whole session? Did you spunk it right back in and leave empty handed? Online i've never won more than $20 in one hand. But i did have a 3 hour session of poker (texas.) I started on $10 and by the end of the 3rd hour i'd made $444 exactly. Banked 400 of it and lost the rest. Paid some of my bills nicely!1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. brianfry713 0 #5 April 18, 2006 $1000 won on a blackjack hand, it's a different kind of rush to lay it down like that. I kept it, but it's gambling so it goes up and down and I think of it as gambling money. I've won $4000 in a session, and that's what I'm up overall too I think. I've also lost $1000 in a night on a few occasions.
weegegirl 2 #6 April 18, 2006 Was in Atlantic City this weekend and won over $100 on one poker hand, and a blackjack hand that paid out well over that. I love gambling, but you can never gamble what you aren't ready to lose. So I try to keep the betting reasonably low.
brits17 0 #7 April 18, 2006 $210 in Vegas playing Hold em. I was down so I went all in on a pair of Kings on the flop. A guy called and had trips. I hit another King on the river and won with a full house. I immediately cashed out _______________________ aerialkinetics.com
tso-d_chris 0 #8 April 18, 2006 I don't gamble much myself, but lately I've met several Texas Hold 'em players that will step up to the table with anywhere from 2 figures to six figures or more. It boggles my mind how much some of these guys are willing to risk on a card game. OTOH, it has to be an incredible adrenalin rush. Thanatos340 1 #9 April 18, 2006 Most Lost in Live Tournament $5,000 entry (Twice) (Both times entries won in $100 super satellites) Most Won in Live Tournament Casinos Europa Invitational 2002, San Jose Costa Rica (Multi Rebuy NL Holdem) - 6th Place out of 450 - $8,000 Most prestigious win SARGE 2003 Omaha H/L Tunica, MS - 1st Place Only won about $1,100 but first time (And only time) I got my pic in the Poker Mags. Most Won in Single Session Cash Game $10/$20 Limit Holdem - +$2400 in 8 Hour session Most Lost in Cash Game $15/$30 Limit Holdem - -$2000 in 5 hours. Best Run ever online.. Party Poker - Bought in for $100. Five days later Cashed out $3,000 and left $340 in the account to play with. All cash games, No Tournaments. Most Won in an Online Tournament 1st in a $20 +$2 tournament with 620 players for $3,100 I played very seriously through out 2001-2003. After the WPT hit TV the game totally changed. Every Idiot and his brother stated showing up thinking K-7 off was a good hand and calling all the way with it. Normally you wanted one or two idiots like this at the table. But when there are 6 or 7 at the table, sooner or later one of them gets lucky and you are sitting on the rail. I rarely play anything bigger than $5/$10 Limit or $100 Buy-in anymore. Just not worth it when half the table will call with any two cards. All the skill has been negated by the WPT crowd that only sees the Final table on TV and think that is the way to play. I never could adjust my game to compensate. There isnt a day that goes by where i dont think about going back.
wildcard451 0 #10 April 18, 2006 QuoteThere isnt a day that goes by where i dont think about going back. You and me both. Unfortunately, the game has changed with a shit ton of morons playing these days and thinking that their way of playing is good. This is why I am a much bigger fan of cash games than tournament style. All it takes it one moron to rail you out in the tourney, where as a cash game you can take the hit then get back to grinding it out.
