darkwing 5 #2 November 22, 2007 There are many good canopies out there. Your profile doesn't say where you live, so it is difficult to give specific advice. Many manufacturers offer you the opportunity to demo canopies. For a small fee they ship you a canopy to try for a while. It is the best way to evaluate canopies. If you cannot demo canopies, you will get a lot of "I like this canopy" and another person will say "no, that canopy is crap, I like this one" or "That canopy is OK, but this one is better." Having said that, and considering what others have recommended to you I think you will be happy with a Sabre2 or a Pilot or a Saffire. Of those, I prefer a Pilot, although I have only jumped the Pilot and the Sabre2. I am on my second Pilot. ps - please don't use all CAPS. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
Samurai136 0 #3 November 22, 2007 Assuming your packing technique is good; If you're having hard openings with the Sabre nearly any other canopy would be an improvement. On the other hand you can get slammer openings on any parachute if your packing is junk.If you liked the vengeance, you might consider the Lotus or Samurai from Bigairsportz. All three are airlocked canopies. "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

andrewkirk 0 #5 November 23, 2007 thanks for all your responses , i currently jump at eloy , i am not jumping enough to go past an intermediate canopie , when i packed my own chute i always rolled the nose and had wonderfull long sniveling openings ,all the packers seem to have the opinion that doing that was creating a potential for a reserve ride .and they will not roll the nose .i do realise that i need to demo .
