waltappel 1 #5 April 19, 2006 QuoteProve it Simple scientific fact, my dear. Years ago I did quite a bit of digging to find out whether cats have lips. The answer is in the criteria for the tissue bordering the mouth. If that tissue can form an airtight or watertight seal, then we have lips!!! Cats cannot do that. Hence, they do not have lips. If you are not sure, whether you have lips, let me know, I'm sure I can develop a highly accurate scientific test to figure it out! edited to add: For a fleeting moment, I felt kinda like Billvon just for knowing that little factoid! Amazon 7 #6 April 19, 2006 Well you are a kinky one arent you.. I mean my kitty has some pretty sharp teeth right there under her non sealable lips..... I think that might make for a less than pleasureable experience for you in your scientific test

Lindercles 0 #14 April 19, 2006 You can pretty much caption any given moment in a cat's life with the phrase "[blank] the f'ing [blank] douchebag." For example "Open the f'ing can of cat food douchebag." Or, "put down the f'ing newspaper douchebag."
Michele 1 #15 April 19, 2006 My kitties have lips - I kiss them all the time! But not being able to make a watertight seal explains Simon's drooling when he makes biscuits. Walt, Zoe is a very pretty cat. She has the classic Siamese markings - does she follow you everywhere and talk incessantly to you? Simon, my snowshoe, does...those are also traits of Meezers. They bond very tightly with their slaves -err, um, owners. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

She'll eventually warm up to people who have dogs with them (she loves dogs) but it takes a while. And yes, she does talk to me and I am her servant I often refer to her as "Her Royal Highness". She really is royalty. Walt

He's always greeting the handymen who come over, trying to assist them in their endeavors. But he's my bud. I'm pretty sure he'd like a dog, too; he's just not met any yet. I've got a cat, Charlotte, who is royalty. She really is...and she's wonderful for it. Regal and sublime and arrogant...it's all on her terms. She's the stray long haired black cat who walked in my back door 5 years ago, and hasn't left since. LOL. (BTW, Mike, staff has to be paid...which is why we're slaves. We don't get paid. ). LOL! No, you're right. There is an amazing love these animals can give, and do give...I adore it when they cuddle and purr...something very special about that. You are right.
