skymama 37 #2 April 19, 2006 Yes, there is. I found the answer by doing a Google search a few months ago when I needed to know. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

jumpjunkie2004 0 #5 April 19, 2006 Nice Google Link : ) I admit I was being lazy. I've spent 30 minutes trying to find my studs. It seems like the people who finished my basement were trying to conserve lumber. I thought someone here might be a dart enthusiast and would reply with 6 feet or whatever it is. I guess I should have asked something more interesting. Like have you ever accidentally hit someone in the eye with a dart : )Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat... Like have you ever accidentally hit someone in the eye with a dart : ) LOL You gotta build it up - Start with a partial sentance - "Have you ever . . ." then go to the body of the post and be a smart ass: " hit someone in the eye with a dart" . . . from there - you vary your responses to the different replies, and then non-chalantly say "Oh yeah, my dartboard is hung at X'-X" and then the argument takes off. You'll get expert advice from absolutely everyone that has even thought about throwing a pointy thing toward anything at all. then you get to sift through all the talk about dart loading, and dart numbers, and personal attacks and make your oun judgement.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

Miami 0 #23 April 19, 2006 Depends on whether it's steel tip or soft tip. No clue what the soft tip measurements are, steel tip are as follows: Center of the bull should be 5'8" from the floor. Stab a dart in the center, tie a string to it, and measure the height with that. The front edge of the throwing line should be 7'9 & 1/4" from the face of the board. Use that string that's hanging from your dart (make sure it's pushed up to the board) as a guide to where the face of the board is in relation to the floor. For lighting either at least two spotlight like direct light sources that are plenty out of the way so those people who really arc their darts up high don't hit them, or a couple of fluorescent bulbs lengthwise across the board but a couple feet out from the board work really well. You should also put a backboard up to keep from putting a bunch of holes in your wall from stray darts, and a white erase board mounted somewhere nearby is nice, too. Hope this helps...Miami
