JENNR8R 0 #1 April 20, 2006 I need to assign a 'yard-sale' value to a three-year old Hitachi 36" television. It cost in the neighborhood of $1,100.00 when it was new. Any guesses what it would sell for now? What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

jumpjunkie2004 0 #5 April 20, 2006 I'm working on Personal Property Tax returns today. If your use the standard depreciation of 20% per year, your TV is now valued at approximately $440.00. Or...you can check on eBay and see what people are getting for the equivalent. Or...you can put some numbers in a hat and pick out one. I'd use really low numbers like $50, $25, and $10. Or...you could just pretend that it was a gift : )Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...

It was a television that my mother owned before she died. The heirs are dividing up the personal property, and as executor, I have to determine the value so that value can go against their inheritance... It's not going to be sold...What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday.

Must be that TV that only shows religious and supernatural movies... My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
