gofast_ER 0 #8 April 22, 2006 here in fort polk la we had a descent thunder storm today. A bolt of lightining hit really close to our company hq. The thunder was the loudest i have ever heard. It made my ears ring. We saw the smoke from were it hit less than 1/4 mile away. Definatly the closest iv been to a lightining strike.I may not agree with what you have to say but i'll defend to the death your right to say it. Amazon 7 #11 April 22, 2006 Where I used to live in FL we had an enclosed porch with a swing that we would sit on when the daily afternoon storms would roll in. The power pole in front of the house had a lightning rod on it .
