Twoply 0 #1 April 22, 2006 Hearing people just say that irritates the hell out of me. Do these people really think that by saying that I'll actually do so? If anything, it gives the opposite effect. Especially when they stress the "trust" part. Do they not think that I'm capable of deciding if the subject at hand is a possibility or truth? If I'm involved in conversation with someone and they break that out, my respect level for them drops significantly.

Quote So what you are saying is that when you and another person disagree, the only person trustworthy enough to be correct is yourself? What if the other person IS correct?www.FourWheelerHB.com
 Twoply 0 #3 April 23, 2006 No that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that when I'm in discussion with others and they are talking about something in which I don't have any knowledge or don't think is right, I have the mindset to know that there are other possibilities out there other than I'm aware. I can take someone's opinion and respect it as their own. I just really hate it when people have to tell to "trust them."
