skydivermom 0 #1 April 25, 2006 No I'm not talking about my parachute! We are moving next week and I would like a packing idea for my hangup clothes. We've moved a few times, and I always group them together and wrap packing tape around the handles. Does anyone have a better idea that will make this more manageable? You know how women are...we have WAY too many clothes!Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:
skydemon2 0 #2 April 25, 2006 if you go to a moving/box store they actually have boxes with a bar in them so you just hang the clothes in the box. JohnMitchell 16 #3 April 25, 2006 Sounds like you know what your doing. We take a garbage bag, poke a hole in the bottom, and push the hangers up through there. That covers the clothes from dirt and seems to make them more manageable, not flopping all over. We have a big house with 4 kids in it, an embroidery shop and a zillion hobbies. I realized the other day that I have too much stuff to ever move again.

EricaH 0 #14 April 25, 2006 I do the upside-down garbage bag thing too & I moved 7 times between 1998 & 2005. For longer items I have the hook end of the hanger through the hole in the bottom of the bag, then I take another garbage bag & at the loose end of the clothes fit it up over the open top-now bottom & tape it up so it makes a nice clean closed giant garmet bag. For shorter items you can tie the end of the bag together. In evitably something will fall off the hanger, closing up the loose top-now-bottom will at least keep the item contained. I also ducktape the hanger hooks together so they stay in place, rubber bands just break. Then I just throw them on top of everything already in the truck so nothing's smooshing them down. Good luck. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)
