MC208B 0 #1 April 6, 2001 hello all. I'm just curious here, what is your favorite plane for the ride up? I'm a bit biased I guess since I maintain Cessna 208's (Caravans) for a living. I do like a fast ride up when I'm jumping but prefer the 182 when I'm flying (logging time). Mike
Yooper 0 #2 April 6, 2001 Personally I like Casa's. I love the giant cargo door. Blue Skies,Chad
skybytch 273 #3 April 6, 2001 Depends on what kind of mood I'm in and what kind of jumps I'm doing. If I'm jumping with a small group of friends I kinda like a C182 or a C206. Maybe it's cuz those are the aircraft I "grew up" in... I enjoy the tight fit and the relatively long climb and launching a piece from the step.If I want to jump a lot or do bigger-than-6-ways my favorite plane has to be a twin Otter, especially if it's a Super Otter. But it's really hard to kiss the pilot on the way out the door....pull and flare, lisa
greuni 0 #4 April 6, 2001 Sky Van. You can sit comfortably and stand up to stretch the legs before exit.
MC208B 0 #5 April 6, 2001 Skyvan is cool! Made a jump from it at Lost Prairie last year. The young lady next to me enjoyed all that "vibration" on the seat!!! I enjoyed my exit till I fell below that A/C, the got blown away, good jump anyway
Viking 0 #6 April 6, 2001 Well since the only plane i have ever jumped out of is a Super Twin Otter at Elsinore i would have say that one
 froggie 0 #7 April 6, 2001 seeing how ive only jumped two planes but ridden in 3 id have to say that the Frankenotter is my favorite.
