Slappie 9 #5 April 26, 2006 I am soooooooo glad I got out of my Chevy Silverado when I did. I'm still tooling around town on the tank of gas I bought weekend before last. $2.78 a gal. then. Now it's close to $2.95 gal. Still cheaper to operate my lil Mazda 3 then that old truck! jumpjunkie2004 0 #7 April 26, 2006 Maybe we should all start buying horses : ) I'm sure that would go over really well with my home owners association. I can't even change the color of my house without authorization.Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...

skydiver51 0 #10 April 26, 2006 I drive 213 miles round trip 5 days a week to work. I won't tell you how much I spend or I will start crying again.

skydiver51 0 #12 April 26, 2006 Would cost more to feed him for that long of a trip than it does for gas.
Slappie 9 #13 April 26, 2006 QuoteWould cost more to feed him for that long of a trip than it does for gas. I wasn't thinking about the cost of food. That is a good factor to bring up. I was more concerned with the time and conveinces factor. I may be wrong but I don't think horses can cover 213 miles in one day. They would need a week or so to cover that much ground. skydiver51 0 #14 April 26, 2006 Yes the time it would take would be a problem but if he died of starvation along the way it would be a whole lot worse than a flat tire!!
