marcusprice 0 #1 April 28, 2006 At Quincy they used to play a song first thing in the morning. I beleive it was by Tiny Tim but I am probably wrong. It was a remake of some famous old song but I can't rememebr what it was (it's the age) Either you loved it or you hated it, there wasn't many people in the middle. I seem to remember it was the crew from Eloy that had it played every morning. What was it? It's driving me crazy....
bbarnhouse 0 #2 April 28, 2006 Israel Kamakawiwo'ole is the artisit. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is the tune and it is played every morning in Rantoul. Many are unaware that the tradition did in fact begin with the Eloy Crew (Burke).

bbarnhouse 0 #4 April 28, 2006 You are most welcome! Now you don't have to be driven crazy LOL Skydive Arizona just celebrated its 16th Anniversary at this location. Burke is still floating about from time to time when he isn't off in the wilds somewhere. This summer will find him in Costa Rica as well as working as a river guide in the Grand Canyon. He is by far one of the best story tellers I have ever known.
Fast 0 #5 April 28, 2006 The first morning I woke up in rantoul (haven't been around long enough for quincy) and hear the song playing over the grounds was touching. I don't know what it was, all I know is that I was barely a skydiver and it felt fucking cool to be a part of something so different. The sound of the king air taking off for the first load,... etc. It is an experience that I wont easily forget.~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. Snowwhite 0 #9 April 28, 2006 As many times as I have heard it (and I have been a part of the WFFC crew for 9 years now), I still get choked up everytime I hear it again. I love it, just cuz of the WFFC, and the great memories of tremendous people and times that it evokes. Just thinking about it makes me want to pack up and head to Rantoul!skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
BIGUN 1,462 #10 April 28, 2006 I play it at least once a week. Brings great memories of great mornings at a great place with great people doing great things.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. thegreekone 0 #12 April 29, 2006 Quote The version you want is found on the Soundtrack to Finding Forrester *** *nods in agreement* great version of such an overdone song, that is usually overdone poorly.
