napaguy99 0 #1 May 2, 2006 So the dz.com spell check does not have the word "let's" in it. However it does have "lets" without the apostrophe and even more interesting, it has the word "lutz". Go figure! "Let the misinterpretation and attacks begin."

Nightingale 0 #5 May 2, 2006 Lets - allows Lutz - a figure skating jump A bit odd that they don't have "Let's" (let us), but I guess it is one of the more rare contractions. Or, the programmer took it out to prevent us from having to read sentences like "The pilot let's us take inflatable rafts out the tailgate."
AggieDave 6 #6 May 2, 2006 QuoteLutz - a figure skating jump You haven't been on DZ.com long enough to remember the Lutz discussions. For a while a Lutz is how someone refered to someone who was jumping that shouldn't be a jumper, period. Someone who would probably femur while bowling.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Actually, I do remember some of those discussions. However, if the programmer is using a standard spell check dictionary, lutz would probably be in there for the skating reason, not the skydiving one.
