jumpjunkie2004 0 #4 May 2, 2006 It's amazing how much vomit one small Burger King cola Icee can generate! She said her throat hurt - now i just feel retarded. You'd think after 14 years of parenting, I'd remember BRAT - bananas, rice, apple sauce, toast.Jump, Land, Pack, Repeat...

Icon134 0 #8 May 2, 2006 QuoteWhat about yogart? this is what I'm thinking of... "Question: Can bananas help relieve an upset stomach? Answer: Yes. Bananas stimulate the production of mucus and cells in the stomach that create a barrier between the stomach lining and the acidic gastric substances that cause heartburn and stomach upset. If a person is actively vomiting, however, bananas or other solids may not be recommended. In this situation, clear liquids would be more appropriate. Once the person is ready to start eating solid food again, it is best to start with bland food. Bananas are considered a bland food. Bananas are also part of the BRAT diet, a diet many physicians and nurses recommend for children recovering from gastrointestinal upsets, particularly diarrhea. BRAT stands for the different components that make up the diet: Bananas, Rice cereal, Applesauce, Toast."Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... Gawain 0 #10 May 2, 2006 Where's the option for both? I'm surprised about everyone voting for the "runs". In a situation of say being on an Otter on the way up to altitude and there's the sudden onset of one or the other, I'd rather turn and puke and be done with it than poop my pants any day. Of course, the guy I puke on won't be too happey, but at least all our asses are dry.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
