jumpdr 0 #1 October 31, 2007 Hi, Somehow I've managed to get a small hole in the spandex of my BOC. It's only 2-3 mm across and is just in the outer layer of the pocket (there's another layer underneath). I don't know how happened - I wonder if I might have caught it on a sharp dry grass stem on landing or something. Anyway, what's the best way to repair it? It doesn't warrant a new BOC by any means. Should I just over-stitch back and forth or would a purse string type stitch be better? (Obviously doing it without the PC in the pouch! Thanks.Skydiving is more than a sport and more than a job: skydiving is pure passion and desire which will fill a lifetime.
marinho 0 #2 November 1, 2007 Hi, Ask you rigger to hand tacking the hole with super or lite tack cord (without the pc in the pouch off course!). It should not be a problem! Take care,Gus Marinho

Personally, my answer would be that if it is big enough to care about, replace the pouch. They're easily enough replaced and any patch/repair will be problematic. (IMHO) Your rigger should be able to get it changed out fairly quickly. Just to reenforce what you already know, if you're going to patch/repair it take the PC out first. Other's have regretted making changes/repairs to their gear without unpacking first.JWAlways remember that some clouds are harder than others... Broke 0 #5 November 2, 2007 Replace it. It will need to be replaced eventually anyway, and most riggers charge only 50 bucks or soDivot your source for all things Hillbilly. Anvil Brother 84 SCR 14192
