Accepting your destiny . . .

Do you ever feel like you spend all of your time fighting your destiny? I sure do. I want things to be a certain way, and I can't accept that they might not turn out that way.

Is that normal?

I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I have bachelor's in kicking ass and taking names.

"Destiny" was an accountant.:S

I'm just thinking about where I'll end up living, and the whole marriage, family, etc. stuff. This school stuff has really thrown me for a loop. I never considered having to move to go to nursing school, and now that looks like a very real possibility - one that I don't like but am going to HAVE to deal with.

You never have to accept anything that you're not happy with.:)
I was in your shoes several times---had a GREAT job opportunity lined up--would have had to move to NY and commute between there and Paris:S I LOVED what I was doing, but for whatever reason it never occured to me I didn't want to live in the big city. I love to visit, but didn't think I'd have to actually be there all the time--with the internet and FedEx, sky miles and everything else---I'm still able to do those things on the side, but not for my job b/c I just knew I would not be happy living that lifestyle.

Also, I moved in w/ my hunny a year before I graduated college. So, I also understood that my job search would HAVE to be limited to this area b/c he already had a business established here.

In short---it took a lot of searching/researching, but I finally found something that I was happy with all around---I really love what I do b/c the income is in the range I'd hoped for and my schedule is still flexible and I can live where I want to live. But, I went through rough times wondering on numerous occasions if I'd made the right decision.

If your heart is set on nursing, but your heart is also where you live, you CAN make it work. You just have to be patient and most importantly, NOT settle.:P
Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Kelly, I'm your density. I mean... your destiny. :D
