skybytch 273 #1 May 4, 2006 Ten years ago today I did my last tandem (as an instructor). Gonna break out some old video later and be amazed at the fact that I ever did that. What have you done in the past that when you look back on it, you can't quite believe you really did it?

jdthomas 0 #8 May 4, 2006 I used to have all the sponsorships and lime light in skateboarding.. that was years upon years ago and there are days that I miss some aspects of it. But I don't think that I miss it enough to go back to it if I had the chance. I had my experinece with it and even back then I knew it was for a limited time, so i milked it for everything I could. I just gave up my tandem and all instructor ratings this year. so maybe in ten years from now I will look back at this one just as you have. lawrocket 3 #10 May 4, 2006 Ten years ago, I was 6 weeks from graduation from college. I knew I wasn't going active duty in the Army. I had a political science degree that I didn't know what to do with. It was a period of huge doubt as to my future with no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I only knew I was gonna do something, and it would be a couple of months before I figured out that law school was in my future. My wife is hotter than your wife. AggieDave 6 #12 May 4, 2006 If you'd been at my wedding you would have heard about a couple of those stories...beyond that, those stories are much better told while drinking a beer at the DZ after a good day of jumping.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #14 May 4, 2006 Quote 10 years ago I went somewhere and did somethings that the US government forbids me to talk about. There was another poster on DZ.com that did things like that before, but most of them involved some sort of type male cattle, the waste they produce and a space shuttle.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." downwardspiral 0 #16 May 4, 2006 Well I would say that it had something to do with the effectiveness of knee high boots on sheep but like I said I can't talk about it. www.FourWheelerHB.com
AggieDave 6 #17 May 5, 2006 Possibly, but it also involved some dirt bikes, climbing rope, repelling harnesses and a few pairs of BDUs.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

slotperfect 7 #20 May 5, 2006 22 years of US Army service (as of last Monday). 20 years is the mark that earns you a military pension for life. Until then it was a long slow climb up the mountain, not knowing what it would look like at the top. Not only was the view worth the wait, but I get to stick around and enjoy it for a while.Arrive Safely John
