The girl's parents, who hail from Shanghai, have flown to Sanya and brought their daughter's body back to the city on Thursday night. According to the Hainan-based newspaper, the Sanya government has suspended the parachute tour operator's license and employees involved in the accident have been taken into police custody for further investigation. Liu Ye traveled to Hainan with several classmates during the Labor Day holiday this week. At 2pm on Wednesday, she took a parachute tour in which a speed boat pulls the parachute into the air so that visitors could have a bird eye's view of the sea below. However, Liu fell into the water after the parachute was lifted up. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and died at 5pm.
