McDuck 0 #33 May 6, 2006 Quoteyeah no stupid ceral box toy crap more like equipment or tickets that kind of thing I would think and you guys are welcome to come riding anytime - just remember you may have to take turns on the horse that is the calmest cause there is only one . That's sort of what I figured, jump tickets or gear. And that isn't out of the question. What makes you think I'm looking for the "calm" horse? Cora, may need the docile mount (heh), but I've been riding since I was a tyke, so I can generally handle myself adequately with most steeds. So, what else? What else would you accept, as part of a contest, to change energy drinks?Kevin - Sonic Beef #5 - OrFun #28 "I never take myself too seriously, 'cuz everybody know fat birds don't fly." - FLC Online communities: proof that people never mature much past high school. What else would you accept, as part of a contest, to change energy drinks? Just so you know I am printing this out to remind you YOU get to be the first on the nonbroke horse - I will at least start him working on the bit so he has at least *some* clue (not that he will do what he is told anyway - MEN!) You just be sure to bring the video helmet for US to use Now back on the contest thing some ideas for prizes maybe discount or full certificates for gear, tunnel time, jump tickets, clothing, accessories, those stuffed animal thingys people make, trip to a boogie (maybe an all inclusive thing), coaching by 'the top teams' or canopy coaching, books/videos, jump plane rental for your DZ for a weekend, the plane itself, a DZ of your own, the possibilities are endless. If you want to play on the egos of some, you could do a contest winner photo spread on a webpage or something similar. It all depends on how many prizes you want to offer and the odds of winning the 'good vs awesome prizes' ie if there is a one in five chance of winning something it keeps my attention more than a 1 in a thousand chance told ya I am a contest junkie now....damned lottery .Life is not fair and there are no guarantees... kbordson 8 #46 May 7, 2006 Try to keep the prizes as "real" items. Not the discounts, because sometimes people get discouraged to get 15% off something that they weren't going to buy anyway. Something hard, concrete and in the hand is more appealing to most. But I understand that with big item prizes... it's hard to come up with that amount in the budget for advertising/promoting. (but... I still like GoFast bestest!)

(but... I still like GoFast bestest!) Good point on the discount prizes. Something concrete is generally more preferred than a piece of paper saying you'll pay less for something that not only wasn't on your "buy now" list, but that might be out of your current price range even WITH a discount.Kevin - Sonic Beef #5 - OrFun #28 "I never take myself too seriously, 'cuz everybody know fat birds don't fly." - FLC Online communities: proof that people never mature much past high school.
