faulknerwn 38 #58 April 11, 2006 Yep. He'll fly during the week with just 4 jumpers (and its WAY faster than a Cessna!). He's actively building new stuff (the swoop ditch went in last week) and growing the business.

waltappel 1 #66 May 8, 2006 ** Bump ** I went back to Skydive Temple in Salado, Texas today and took advantage of one of their newest and best features today--Wendy Faulkner (yes, our very own Wendy!) is on staff and she generously took the time and effort to teach me some CRW today. I already knew Wendy was a world-class CRW dog, but damn, seeing her work a canopy from an up-close and personal point of view was quite an experience. We made three jumps today (weather didn't clear until around 2:00 in the afternoon) and each started off with me exiting first, taking a heading, and waiting a very short time for Wendy to set up in front of me so I could dock on her and yep, it happened. I docked on Wendy a bunch of times today. We stacked, planed, did rotations, spiraled a stack, and on my first jump with her did a downplane. Another highlight was a move Wendy calls "The Punisher". Punishment for sure, but I like that flavor of punishment. Woohoo!!!!! Wendy, if you read this, thankyou. Walt

waltappel 1 #68 May 8, 2006 Quote You didn't mention about *how* sore your arms are..and the limitation that creates Gee, word gets around quickly, doesn't it!! Ok, I'll confess since you've already heard. After holding onto a downplanc with Wendy so long that my hands felt like they were going to fall off, we were back in the packing area and my hands felt like I had zero grip strength left. Naturally, the gravity of the situation occurred to me. "Damn, Wendy, my hands are so worn out after that downplane that I don't think I'll be able to jerk off for a month!!!!!". I don't think I'll be able to get a handicapped parking permit out of the deal, and it's probably more like a day or two instead of a month, but damn, was that downplane ever fun!!!!
