Last time I went into an REI, I walked out with a tent, ski poles, a pair of climbing shoes, and a chalk bag. How's that for random?cavete terrae. AggieDave 6 #11 May 8, 2006 Quotewell, I DO need some new hicking socks, maybe a map or two, but the damn stuff jumps in my hands and I can't put it down... So next time shop early and shop online, that'll make it easier to not randomly get the "oh, shiney" effect. That's what I've had to do. Although I did make the mistake of stopping at G.T. Distributors in Austin on the way back from Eloy. I ended up spending about $200 before I was able to get out of that place. I'm going to start only shopping online there too.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

flyangel2 2 #14 May 9, 2006 Quotetalk to eeneR I believe she is the president of said organization... She is of no help at all when she goes into an REI store with you. REI is having a nice sale right now. It doesn't matter if I need nothing at all, or just one item, most times I walk out of there with more items in the bag then I had planned. My son is on his was to REI right now with my checking card! I told him not to "over spend". Dave, I can spend just as much on line with REI as I do walking into the store. skybytch 273 #20 May 9, 2006 My dividend for this year is still unused. It's not enough to buy anything online after adding shipping so I'm going to have to go to the store. And they're having a sale? Oh damn.

Many, ranging from day hikes to four or five day treks. And I'm not taking any classes this summer so I'm free from May 22nd until September 5th. So, when will you be here?
