unlucky1 0 #51 May 9, 2006 Let me be the first to welcome you to Alaska. I've jumped at 22 different states, 30 DZ's, and Alaska by far has the best scenery I've encountered. Just the Glacier Jump itself during the boogie is awesome! Do the Glacier Jump while you are here, I would be willing to say that almost NO OTHER jump could top that one. VanillaSkyGirl 6 #52 May 9, 2006 For myself, I'd have to say Skydive San Diego (Sunset is...wow!), then Skydive Elsinore (so beautiful all of the time), then Sebastian. (It's very nice, but I wasn't as blown away by that beach, as I am by the gorgeous lakes out here.)

rehmwa 2 #55 May 9, 2006 QuoteWhat is your favorite scenic place to skydive? I personnally like skydiving in Wasilla,AK. Next to a tall towering cloud, maybe a holf hour before sunset (that's more of a when, but..) ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
mfrese 0 #56 May 9, 2006 Gee, they're all beaches, go figure... 1) Seascape Resort - near Hollister, my wife and I and a bunch of friends jumped in there at sunset for our 15th anniversary. 2) Skydive Monterey Bay - Used to do the sunset beach tour, flying low enough over the beaches at Monterey to wave at the whuffos, then back to Marina to exit. 3) Space Center/Sebastian/the DZ formerly known as Skydive Daytona Beach - Hey, Florida ocean views, and SDB used to land on the beach almost every other load. 4) Hawaii. A little unnerving to exit way off shore sometimes, but damn, what a view! I hope to add Lost Prairie and Alaska to these in the next few years...Doctor I ain't gonna die, Just write me an alibi! ---- Lemmy/Slash

ACMESkydiver 0 #58 May 9, 2006 QuoteI'm all about the NW ... any of the Seattle-area DZs (they're all a little different but all involve water, mountains, and gorgeousness in every direction). Snohomish, Kapowsin (Orting) and Bremerton. All three very beautimous. I couldn't dig the scenery in Lodi or Aggieland...fun people, fun to jump, but not exactly what you want to take as a postcard snapshot under canopy. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
