D8055 1 #1 October 18, 2007 OK, I know these things are crap... but I ended up with one as a freebe... so, does anybody have any directions on how to use these things... maybe I'll get lucky and this one actually works? A scan of the directions would be awsome... but I'll take word of mouth if I can get it!

everymansaved 0 #4 October 18, 2007 Timeouts are far from crap. My wife uses one regularly and loves it's simplicity. As for instructions... just set the breakoff alt with the up and down arrow buttons. the pull beep is @3k and flatline is 1.5k.God made firefighters so paramedics would have heroes...and someone can put out the trailer fires. Never a problem finding batteries (you can get them at a just about any grocery store) and you really don't need a manuel to set it....or ask a buddy "how do I set this again?".my pics & stuff! lekstrom10k 0 #9 October 18, 2007 My second one works as good as my first only it has the flashing light option . my first one disappeared after 15 years of no trouble . If you push in both buttons it goes through the whole beep cycle, to flat line. if you want break-off altitude push one button it might beep 3 times if you want higher hold the up button it will beep 3 times pause then one. that was 3,500 if you want 4000 hold the up button and it beeps 4 times or again holding 4 pause 1 meaning 4500. If I can find my new directions it tells how to take off at one airport and jump into another one at a different MSL. There was even a way to change volume but it was a talk-through to England. I couldnt care less if my dirt alert had Oprah high-lites or The soccer scores in Spain. Its done a great job for me . Radio Shack has the batteries for $4.99 in stock always
D8055 1 #10 October 19, 2007 Thanks to all for the help. I apologize if the term crap offended anyone. It was an uninformed description. Its just that I've heard/read more bad reports (about 10:1) than good. At any rate... I should be able to figure this thing out now...
