Selling a Rig

Hi, i put an add in classifieds, to sell my rig, months ago. I live in mexico city and now i'm on vacation with my rig in California. The rig still for sell, and i havee had many replies and offers. The thing is that i don't know what would be the best payment option to not been ripped off here. What's your advice or recomendation?

I would recommend doing 1 of things
1. Let a gear store sell it. for a fee of 10-20% most major gear stores will sell your rig on a consignment basis. You don't have to post it, you don't have to qualify the buyer, you don't have to worry about being ripped off, etc. they can take care of everything. But you've obviously got to give them a portion of your money.
2. Use a dz, well known rigger, or well known skydiver as an intermediary. For a small fee or the opportunity to perform the repack, and main, and container inspection, some riggers will act as an intermediary for a sale. This way you give your rig to them, and the buyer gives them their money. The rigger(assuming he is an established one) has a reputation to uphold and is well seated somewhere. He can't steal your rig, or the buyers money and disapear. This provides security to you and the buyer.

They both cost a little, but it usually makes the transaction run smooth and both options greatly decrease the risk of either of you getting ripped off.
