squirrel 0 #26 May 13, 2006 QuoteThe ice cube is a good thought, especially since he can't eat tonight. He is such a cute boy, right now he is sprawled out on a bean bag beside me with his head propped up on his pink cow pillow. i am curious to what the treatment is. My wife had it when she had her back operated on, they trama'ed her pancrious, and then forcecd her to eat in post op recovery...ended up not being able to eat for 3 months, live on IV foods. This is a very serious condition in humans. ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him?
Snowwhite 0 #27 May 13, 2006 My dog Freefall and I had our fingers crossed for you. Glad things are going well. One thing I noticed when Freefall crossed his fingers is MAN DOES HE NEED HIS TOENAILS TRIMMED! See, something good will come from this thread for my doggie too!skydiveTaylorville.org freefallbeth@yahoo.com
karenmeal 0 #28 May 13, 2006 The treatment is an injection of antibiotics at the vet, only water for 24 hours and then a diet of chicken and rice for a week. He also has a course of antibiotics and is supposed to take some pepsid a/c every day. After this, we have to be really careful about him not getting any table scraps and we're going to talk to our neighbors about keeping the area around their house pet-friendly. PLFXpert 0 #29 May 13, 2006 Glad to hear he'll be OK!QuotePoor boy, he seems a little mad at me for subjecting him to the vet. He might seem this way now, but animals have a way of somehow knowing, once they start to feel better, that you had something to do with that---and then it's all kisses and playtimePaint me in a corner, but my color comes back. Rebecca 0 #30 May 13, 2006 Whew! Right on Karen! Good move going to the vet - what a relief, to you and him, poor baby. And Happy Mother's Day! (I'm not sure you have a human child, but you were a great momma to your doggiechile.) you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
