lawrocket 3 #8 May 18, 2006 It's amazing when you think of the rosters on those two teams that were going at it. That was the 1987 World Juniors, that game called the Punch Up at Piestany. It's interesting to think who was in that fight in terms of recognizable names. It started with Theo Fleury (five and a half feet of tough plow-boy). Other regarded names were Brendan Shanahan, the late Steve Chiasson, Glen Wesley, Curtis Joseph (CuJo), and Pierre Turgeon. The Russians had Evgeny Davydov and Vlad "The Impaler" Konstantinov - the best hip-checker ever. In fact, he was drafted because a Red Wings scout noted his aggressiveness in that fight. I think he commented that Vlad was the only Russian who fought back. I think Federov may have been on that Russian team, too. My wife is hotter than your wife.
