eeneR 3 #1 May 18, 2006 I just switched eyedocs, and let me tell you this one is GOOD. Compaired the hell I went thru 2 years ago, I swear this was like a vacation. Anyway, she hooked me up with a pair of these to test. I have toric lenses, and my eyes tend to dry out. I dont have them in now, as I dont like wearing contacts to work, rather wear my glasses as I stare at computers all day. I will be testing them this weekend. But I was curious about anyone elses experince with them. I have been told the new design keeps them from drying out as fast, better UV protection, and far more superior oxygen breathablity. Which are all huge benefits for me!She is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto
simplyputsi 0 #2 May 18, 2006 I have these. They do seem to stay moist longer than the ones I had before. I think I had acuvue toric. I thought there was an even better lense out now though that was supposed to last longer as far as moisture goes. Think acuvue makes them as well. I only say this because right after I bought mine they had new commercials with them and I was like WTF I just bought new contacts. I have to say that these are the best ones so far for sleeping in by accident. I think I've slept in mine twice and the next day didn't notice one difference. Usually I'd have hazy lenses the next day. ohhhhh thunder hooray!!!Skymama's #2 stalker -
eeneR 3 #3 May 18, 2006 Yea the "Oasis" Line. However they are not yet avail in toric. Im glad to hear about the sleeping thing, I have done that a few times, only to wake up to the world in a white haze. simplyputsi 0 #4 May 18, 2006 The first time I slept in them the next day I was like something isn't right. I can see. For a split second you think "IT'S A MIRACLE!!!" Then you realize no you just have your contacts in. Oh and you will be happy to know that they seem pretty durable. I don't believe I've ripped a pair of this years model yet.Skymama's #2 stalker -
boinky 0 #5 May 18, 2006 I was forced to go to the eye doctor back in February. One eye needs minor corrections for near & farsightedness. The other eye is fine. I was supposed to get contacts and went through the whole ordeal of being fitted, etc. I've been switched from contact to contact to contact. Finally, they put me in the kind you just got, as I have the WORST problems with my eyes drying out and getting hazy after a little time in contacts. They seemed okay. But since I only have one eye that truly needs a lens, the other eye has a basic, almost clear one. Those lenses are not offered that way. Since I'm not blind as a bat, YET and the one eye makes up for the other eyes "issues," I've decided to just pass on the whole stupid thing.
