SkydiveStMarys 0 #1 May 19, 2006 It is the last day of school for my youngins'...now that they are older summer vacation is a great thing...when they were younger well it was harder to keep them occupied...found a great "over night" camp for my oldest...its about four hours away! Other then that a few long weekend type trips and maybe a week or two to NJ, heading to the beach two or three times a week.... Got to admit though...I went to school "up North", where summer vacation started at the end of June...after 10 yrs of living in the deep South, I still can't get used to getting out in mid May and heading back to school early August, but supposedly..."law makers" are looking to change that. skymama 37 #2 May 19, 2006 My kids have finals for 3 half-days next week, but they are exempt from taking most of them. I'm thinking of taking them for a long weekend to the Keys next month for my birthday and we'll swim with the dolphins. My son is going to England to play soccer, my daughter will be working at her job. We also have a family reunion to go to in NC in July. Though like I said law makers are trying to right the wrong, so to speak....something about everyone else, money spent on vacations, and and limited time... BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. They try to get as much schooling in as possible before the test in the spring. Also, they like for the first semester tests to be over before the Christmas break. It will all change next year though.
