Iirc, the shotgun underwater damaged itself.

Can't help but wonder if they tested with a breech loaded, rather than a semi.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Glock pistols can shoot underwater. It's not recommended, but they will function while submerged.

The Mythbusters episode was really interesting. I couldn't believe that just 3 feet into the water the bullet shattered into a thousand pieces. I thought for sure you would be dead.

Koleshnikov 47 VS the M4A1 Carbine

both guns were fully submerged in water, and thick mud, the AK 47 still fired (accuratley) and the M4 jammed.

AK=more reliable and more accurate on the first 3 shot burst
m4=accurate and ehh reliability

If you are going to dunk it in a muckhole I will always choose the FN/FAL over the AK47, I would pick it over the AK for any reason.

The AK47 is a great weapon in a lousy caliber

it was the standard 200-300$ pump action 12 gauge. It's one they already had, and it's the most common type.

Allow me to rephrase. While it "may" be the the one they already had and the most common type; they should have tested a gas-operated semi like the Remington 1100 also. They might have achieved different results.

Personally I wouldn't want to get shot by one whatever the calibre.

Two of the three voices in my head agree with you. It might actually be unanimous but voice three only speaks Welsh.

But what about my water pistol??

Would you not rather use the water pistol if you want a gun that works when it is filled with water?

I just happen to have my Taurus PT9mm with me AND I'm near water... Hold on, I'll go check it out (give me 15 minutes)...
