PLFXpert 0 #1 May 25, 2006 do you typically get a night on average? I'm a FIRM believer in sleep. I get 7-8 hours but mostly always closer to 8 hours/night. I really think it makes a difference in so many aspects: Health (helps prevent sickness) Preventing premature aging Strengh/Endurance, etc. And the list goes on. So?Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
sharimcm 0 #2 May 25, 2006 I would love to get more sleep, but I usually get about 5 or 6 hours. Ever since I've been working two jobs, I don't have time to sleep. I do try to catch an occasional nap in my car during my lunch hour though! Peej 0 #3 May 25, 2006 I'm a firm believer in lots of sleep as well. I try to get 8hrs + a night as well. If i can get into bed at 10pm and be up at 7am, i'm happy. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
cocheese 0 #4 May 25, 2006 Isn't it weird that most living things need to sleep ? I find this strange that our bodies need to shut down totally or else.... We die everyday for a few hours so that we can have a second chance at life again today.
skymama 37 #5 May 25, 2006 I try to get 6, but I go through the day tired most days I can get by ok on 7 I'd love to get 8, but that rarely happens I have a lot of problems sleeping. airtwardo 7 #8 May 25, 2006 I have a lot of problems sleeping. *** I have a lot of problems with getting woken up, I sleep just fine...but if someone / something wakes me up--even after just an hour... weegegirl 2 #11 May 25, 2006 For whatever reason, I can never get to sleep before 1 or 2, giving me 5 or 6 hours of sleep on average. I hate it and need to change it soon! But I get so bored at work all day that I just want to DO SOMETHING at night! At least the rest of me is healthy. I do go to the gym every day and try to eat as healthy as I can. d_squared431 0 #14 May 25, 2006 I am usually asleep by 11pm-12am and get up at 5-530am every day. I can't seem to get out of that trend. I would love to sleep in a lot more but my schedule doesn't allow it. I used to get a lot more sleep until I got custody of a small child. It seems I stay up later to get house stuff done that I can't get done in the day time. That is why coffee taste and smells so darn good in the morning. windcatcher 0 #16 May 25, 2006 I try and get 8-9 hours of sleep every night. I absolutely HATE to be tired, so I try and make sure I get at least 8 hours. I have read about some of the benefits of getting a good night's sleep; I believe I've read a few places that if your body doesn't get adequate rest each night it can be harder to lose weight! Plus, if you try and do more things by cutting back on sleep, I believe your work/tasks will decrease in quality, as you are not as quick or fully able to concentrate. Ditto on everything you said. Work sucks the life out of me and getting home and being free brings it back. Never in bed before 2 usually, up at 8 or so.
