What do you think?!

Recommended Posts

I'm designing a banner/logo for our website, and found out how to play a bit with paint shop. Maybe I went a little overboard.

How would you change it? What would you do instead?

Other than needing an apostrophe at the end of "investors", I think it looks really nice.

Looks good to me.

As a side note, whatever you do, don't name it "banner.jpg", anything with the word "banner" in it, or in a directory that contains the word "banner". Computers with Norton Ad Blocker will block the image!

First, you're going to need a statement for the animal rights people that "the bull was not harmed in the making of this banner."

Second, that white yuppie guy on the right side just won't do in today's politically correct environment. You have to show ethnic diversity and sensitivity, so you'll have to add a black guy and an asian chick.

And finally, all your money is shown in U.S. denominations. Likewise with item #2, above, you must reflect worldwide scope instead of just American capitalism, so you'll have to display some yen and euros too.

That should keep the political correctness police off your ass for a while.

I personally would strengthen the feather/fade between the images. But that's just me.

The site should most likely be designed for people using an 800x600 screen resolution. There are still a TON of people who run thier screen at that size.

I have 19" flat panel monitors for all the secretaries here and they STILL use 800x600.... *sigh*

So I re did it, and the PC folks can't complain now...

Very good. Ha!

But you've really got to add the apostrophe to "Investors". No one will want to risk their money with someone who doesn't know proper grammar... ;)

Pssst....John, if you put an apostrophe in Investor's, it would indicate ownership by a single investor. If you add an apostrophe after -Investors'- it would indicate a club owned by the investors. An apostrophe is not needed because it is a club comprised of investors.

Unless you wanted to show ownership. :)

(Just like "Mothers Group" doesn't need an apostrophe...) ;)
