Muenkel 0 #26 March 8, 2006 QuoteOK, and my rule of thumb for song titles...since Aretha says "Fever" more times than "Think" the song shall be known as "Fever" by me And you will accept that as the new title OK Carrie, you're having a really blonde moment at this time. The word 'Fever' is not in that song. The word is 'Freedom'. Also, Ayla did not sing a Heart song, that was your rocker chick. The only reason I am saying Ayla will continue and rocker chick is done is because Ayla had 2 strong performances and 1 weak, whereas rocker chick had 2 weak and 1 strong (last night). scaryshari 0 #27 March 8, 2006 Rocker girl was incredible...Unfortunately I don't see the judges passing her through - and their influence seems to have a great impact on the voting process. Top 2 female: Kelli and Mandisa is
Girlfalldown 0 #28 March 8, 2006 I agree with you abound Mandisa. She was amazing last night and has been nearly every time. I think she has the best voice of them all and she has a great attitude. Unfortunatly I doubt she'll actually win it because she's older and larger and that's not what the people want. Ah well, I think she's got a good chance at someone picking her up for something. Kellie is darling. Her voice might not be the best but I love her personality. Paris didn't sound as good last night but that girl has something. I really like Lisa too. She puts on a great show. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)
tigra 0 #29 March 8, 2006 Which one is the "rocker chick"? I didn't watch last night and I don't remember any of them doing rock except the one who got booted after Because the Night. American Idol needs a rocker chick! They've had R&B, Country and Pop idols. This year should be a rocker! Ayla has a good voice and she'll go pretty far in the competition although I think Simon's comments about her are right on. She's a little too perfect. I agree with you about Mandisa. She's probably the most talented female and despite her weight, she is very pretty. She also has a fun personality. I don't think she will win, but I would not be surprised if she is in the top 2 along with Chris the rocker dude. I think the public is admiring her not only for her talent but also her self confidance. She's up there with a bunch of size 4's and she doesn't seem to let it bother her. As for Paris, man she hit a bunch of clunker notes last night and the judges didn't call her on it. The clunker notes surprised me because she has a damned good voice. Ashtanga 0 #31 March 8, 2006 I vote for the dumb blond. Simon wants to skrog her big time. I do too.
PLFXpert 0 #32 March 8, 2006 Fever, Freedom. Sheesh! Ayla was bad. Rocker chick good. Hopefully I simplied that enough so as not to confuse myself anymorePaint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
tigra 0 #33 March 8, 2006 Paris reminds me of a very young Jennifer Hudson. She's got natural talent but needs more training, and her voice is more gospel oriented than anything else. She seems like a sweet kid, but when she performs, it looks like she got into her mom's makeup and I don't know whose wardrobe. What's so wrong with looking like a kid when you are one? The other young girl (Lisa?) at least looks and dresses like a teenager and she's really good too! But, there's way too many teenagers in the competition. They'll get votes they don't deserve and older, better performers will get booted early on. They really should raise the minimum age to 18 and do a separate show for kids between 12 and 18. scaryshari 0 #35 March 8, 2006 Being naive doesn't make her dumb! What cha want? Another Jessica Simpson? Britney Spears? Christina Aguilera? Come on! I think the "less is more" statement brings a lot more meaning with it these days. I'll say it again...not the most talented, but the most "real" thing we've had in a while. I just want to hug her, she's so adorable! is
scaryshari 0 #36 March 8, 2006 Tigra, the rocker chick sang the Heart song: What About Love? She looks like Melissa Ethridge when she was younger. She also seems to possess a "rawness" like Melissa. Very cool, but doesn't appeal to the bubble gum masses unfortunatley. I'd buy her stuff. is

Muenkel 0 #39 March 8, 2006 I have an idea for this stage of the competition. Let everyone perform all 3 weeks and add up the grand total of the votes. Then on week 3 eliminate 6 girls and 6 guys in one shot. This would give the contestants more of a chance to use their critique and improve instead of having sudden death. SkymonkeyONE 4 #41 March 8, 2006 Actually, Chris, I would MUCH rather be voting for the worst person every week; not the best. That way, all the "fan clubs" couldn't call in and vote ten times per night just to stack the vote in favor of one person. Anyone else agree? I can always pick out the one worst person every night. I can't, though, pick out the one best performer. Voting for your "favorite" just because you "like" them doesn't seem right to me. I think the voting ought to be based on merit: the performance. Chris Daughtry is going to win this year; no doubt. Chuck

PLFXpert 0 #43 March 8, 2006 I absolutely LOVE rocker girl's voice. I have a raspy lower-toned voice like that (but don't sing like her.
