Andy_Copland 0 #5 May 25, 2006 Catholic country! Im just not a fan of the Irish, there are two types and the type i dont like had one guy who had the nerve to say my father should of been executed for being in the British Army. He was my Ex's father and i walked out the pub before sticking a pool cue up his nose 1338 People aint made of nothin' but water and shit. Until morale improves, the beatings will continue. guppie01 0 #8 May 25, 2006 I agree, the people are wonderful in Ireland. I highly recommend a small town on the West just north of the Cliffs called Doolin. I stayed a few nights there and felt like a local within an hour of being there. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" skinnyshrek 0 #11 May 25, 2006 we stayed one night in cork and one night in dublin. Both were nice but cork were awesome..Hey one funny stoy. We went downtown in cork we found a pub in the midle of town. I called a friend told them where we were..I think we found the only gay bar in cork. Glad i was with the wife. Also, on the way over we met an air stewardess from cork so she came out and had drinks with us all... She's single and i told her i could hook her up with one of you guys...lol Best offer gets her number....http://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats? Katherine 0 #12 May 25, 2006 I just got my irish passport today, woohoo - so I have the option to not travel on my British sometimes. I love Ireland, when we go and see family it is always 'welcome home wee kathleen' (not my name) even though I have never lived there, my dad has never lived there and mum has no connection with Ireland at all Great bunch of people, the hospitality is second to none (ok, maybe polish).Leeds University Skydiving Club www.skydiveleeds.co.uk

irisheyes 0 #14 May 25, 2006 Glad you enjoyed it, but you can't go wrong any where in Ireland. If you ever make it over again you should think about going to Antrim and the Giant's Causeway. I was born and raised in Dublin but anytime I needed to get away I went up there. The people were so friendly (even to a girl from the Republic ) and the scenery and walks can't be beat.
 skinnyshrek 0 #15 May 25, 2006 Well, being raised in the UK i was brought up to think the irish hated us. After visiting i have a different look on them. They love the americans though. The first 3 nights in Dun Laoghaire we frequented a local pub that we closed each night and the bartender stayed after hours with us (free drinks). I then drove south (hitting all the major highlights); Kilkenny (awesome lil town - met a guy who wanted me to move to Ireland to be his wife and mother of his children - I should have taken him up on it ), Waterford, Tipperary, Limerick, Galaway, Doolin, and then back to Limerick and flew out of Shannon. OMG - amazing trip. Other than the sites, which were absolutely amazing, the towns that I absolutely loved were Doolin, Kilkenny, and Dun Laoghaire. The people were fantastic. I road-tripped it on my own and not once did I feel unsafe or afraid to approach someone. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?"
