There are just too many threads and too little time, especially when I'm sneaking peeks at work. Those people have always made me laugh so I'm more likely to open them. That's why I read the Bonfire.

I make the decision based more on the thread subject rather than the author. Although, there are just a few authors that I do skip over.

I wouldn't say that I open a thread based upon the author, but there are some authors threads that get responded to no matter how lame or stupid based upon the author. As well as some good threads go unread and unresponded to just as well because the author is not a pw as well. Food for eating. Beer for drinking.

Whether I read a thread has more to do with the subject than who starts it, although there are some I just don't waste my time reading...

For me there are about 5 members who's threads I will always open, regardless of topic, and about another 5 members who's threads I will always ignore, regardless of topic.

I shall not name them coz this thread should not be a popularity contest.

All the others I open based on topic.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I regret having listed the ones that I did. I have since thought of a slew of others that I open just because I've enjoyed their threads before. I could probably go on for days listing more people as they come to mind.

yeah I suppose I do open threads by author... but... I actually try at least skim most threads...

When someone I know makes a Post with a strange topic, I would be much more likely to read it than someone I dont know.

There are others that I dont know personally but I know through experience that their posts are generally entertaining so I will be more likely to open those as well.

I dont have time to read them all so I do have to be a little selective.
